General Liability

General Liability covers your business if you are sued as a result of property damage and/or bodily injury. The policy pays the legal fees and settlement/judgment amounts from lawsuits. General Liability is the most commonly required coverage and most jobs will not allow you to work without proof of insurance - called a “Certificate of Insurance”. If you or an employee accidentally damage property or if an accident happens resulting in a non employee getting injured - your business (and the project owner) could be held liable. Many jobs will require to be an “Additional Insured” on your General Liability Insurance. This is a common request and protects the project owner - they have limited coverage under your policy within the scope of the project or contract.

Professional Liability

As a contractor, we know you work hard for your clients, however, there's always a risk of clients becoming dissatisfied with their contractor's performance, resulting in a lawsuit. Having a proffessional liability insurance policy will cover any legal fees and costs to protect your business and its assets.

Worker’s Compensation

Worker’s Compensation is one of the most commonly required coverages and most jobs will not allow you to work without proof of insurance - called a “Certificate of Insurance”. Most States require coverage and your business could face significant fines without it. An additional benefit to employers is that in most States Worker’s Compensation Coverage limits an Employees ability to sue their Employer for negligence if injured. Many jobs will require to be named in a ”Waiver of Subrogation” on your Workers Compensation policy. This is a common request and can protect the project owner claims history on their own Workers Compensation policy.
